Know your Acura down memory lane

The history of Acura which stretches to a little over two decades is as exciting as its cars. The upscale Acura brand was introduced by the parent company Honda in 1986 to create a separate luxury division for its cars in the US market. Acura began with just two cars – the Legend sedan and the Integra sport coupe and sedan. Honda's reputation for reliability along with the luxurious features and performance offered by Acura cars contributed to their quick popularity.

In 1991, Acura launched the all-aluminum NSX sports car which undercut that generation's top-selling cars with its performance and price. The new millennium saw the introduction of the MDX SUV in 2001. The successor to the Integra, the RSX sport coupe rolled out the next year. In 2004, the TSX made its entry and was followed by a complete redesign of the TL sedan. In 2005, the flagship RL luxury sedan received a makeover.

Being the number 1 volume Acura dealership, Acura of Pleasanton stocks all the latest Acura cars available in the auto market such as the MDX, RDX, RL, TL and TSX.
